NOTICE: No In-Person Rent Payments Will Be Accepted In 401k Realty Office Starting December 1st, 2016

What is changing?
Effective December 1, 2016, 401k Realty/401k Property Management will no longer accept residents’ rent payments at its Hawthorne office. If a rent payment is brought in-person to the 401k Realty office during the business hours of 9am to 5pm (Monday – Friday), a staff member will instruct tenant to submit payment at our office drop-box or another method outlined below (No exceptions).
Will I be able to enter into the 401k Realty office?
No, unless you have a scheduled appointment with a staff member. There are no same day appointments.
How can I pay rent?
Beginning December 1, 2016 all tenants must pay rent using one of the following methods:
1. Pay rent by Mail: Use a stamped envelope and send a check or money order made payable to 401k Realty (do not send cash). If you would like us to mail you a receipt, include a note stating "Please send receipt." Then, we will mail your updated receipt to the address on file within 3-5 business days. Do not send any other documents with your payment. The office mailing address is located at: 13658 Hawthorne Blvd. Suite 105 Hawthorne CA 90250
2. Pay by eCheck (FREE)- Enter your bank routing and account number to pay rent directly from your checking or savings account. This option is free and there are no set-up/convince fee(s). Contact 401k Realty to set-up online portal.
3. Pay by Credit Card/Debit Card - A convenience fee will be assessed based on the amount of your rent and is displayed in your portal. Contact 401k Realty to set-up an online portal.
4. Electronic Cash Payments - Tenants can pay rent at participating 7-Eleven or Ace Cash Express for a $3.99 transaction fee for a rent payment no more than $1,500.00. Contact 401k Realty for your personalized pay-slip.
5. Pay using our office drop-box – During the hours of 9am to 6pm tenants have the option of using our drop-box to pay rent. Our drop-box is located at 13658 Hawthorne Blvd. Suite 105 Hawthorne CA 90250. Remember to include name and address on check or money order. Note: WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH. If you would like us to mail you a receipt, include a brief note stating "Please send receipt."
How can I obtain my rent balance and discuss my account?
Starting December 1, 2016, if you have any questions about your rent amount, past due amounts, late fees, etc, call our office to schedule a time to review your ledger with a staff member. If you are a Section 8 tenant, there may be extra processing time updating your balance with updated Section 8 portions.
IMPORTANT: All rent is remains due in accordance with tenant(s) lease terms and tenant will be charged a late fee and/or 3-day notice if 401k Realty receives a late rent payment. Tenant may also be responsible for court fees if the 401k Realty files for eviction.
